My mk2 xr2 speedo is playing up, the other day it just stopped working. It just flickered between 0-20. Changed the cable didn't solve it bought a second hand speedo spun both speedo and both read a speed, fitted both neither worked just flickered but the mileage is still going up correctly. Going to change the plastic drive gear as its out anyway but looked fine, hoping its not diff bearings but just Can't see how it can record mileage but not the speed?
Possibly bought a naff speedo?
