Many thought it was easy because they didnt understand the maths of it.
Before Martin ran i received a few PM's telling me his car was so much faster to 100mph it would 'piss' the record. I knew it had no chance with 700bhp of beating the record or indeed reaching 200mph. 6 runs later he did & i got stick for saying it could not be done. However Martin later admitted he had fitted a GT40/94 for that last run giving perhaps another 30bhp he ran 200.2mph Maths proved correct

I never admitted anything about the turbo and don't ever recall mentioning it, it certinally wasn't swapped out for the last run. The reason the car ended up with that particular turbot was because I'd bought a larger exhaust wheel for my Turbonetics turbo but a well known turbo company messed up balancing and the turbo failed on my rollers on the first spool up, the 4094 was the closest size they had and was given to me FOC.
Your idea of making a plaque sounds a bit daft to me but if that's what you want then go for it, I moved on years ago and have zero interest in going any faster, its a dangerous game that can cost way too much financially and will hurt you if it goes wrong.
Just get on with it, life is short... We all know that.
