Hey guys, just finished an engine swap from a cvh 1.4 which was getting a bit old to a cvh 1.6. I rebuilt the 1.6 and replaced everything apart from piston rings and valves, got the head shaved too. Has been a good project so far!
But! I can't get it to idle smoothly on a weber TDLM 28/32 carb and during a fuel emissions test I was doing it showed CO levels were only at 0.187?!
That seems to me to be low and i'm sure the engine is running too rich. It accelerates well but doesn't idle well at all.
I opened it up yesterday, cleaned it and put it back on but I still have bad idling. Am I right to say that I need a bigger idle jet? Also i'm not sure which of the jets are the idle jet on a weber tdlm
Does anyone know how to solve the low CO and idling problem?
AHH and I should mention that it is the lean burn head (so running lean would be normal on it but I guess not THAT lean?)
Thanks guys!
Josh
