I bought a HP 1317 all in one for £99 from PC WORLD. The ink generally has become more expensive over the years but this one is: £19.99 for 19ml of ink. Hp do a cheaper model which is abotu £70 but the ink is £16 for 10ml. Therefore much more economical to buy the slightly more expensive model and be able to use more economical ink cartridges.
Also, i chose HP rather than epson because epson ink apparently has some alcohol based chemical that cleans the heads as you use it(the heads are part of the printer and you dont ever change them). This means you cant really refil the cartridges cos the heads will clog up. Apparently with the HP cartridges you change the head each time you change the cartridge, therefore you can prob refil them once or twice before buying a new cartiridge and get away with it.
Lexmark dont print the ink capacity on their cartridges so i took this as a bad sign and avoided them.
Anyway, i've been pleased with my purchase. If any of the above is wrong then i'm sure others know a lot more about it than me.
