Also another tip if you want perfection is use a plastic bag after prep and use it as a glove as that with take out any senses in you fingers/skin and you be able to feel any blind imperfections,

And make sure you have plenty of tea and biscuits cos you need to walk away after each coat otherwise you'll get carried away,

You may have to either use high build primer or filler to sort out the pitting round the lip as the paint will just soak into it, make sure you move the masking tape after each stage even when you role the tape as a few coats of paint will still give you a ridge
