Sorry, update time. The car hasn't changed very much, I have now got the skirts off and it is ready to go to the welders for the sills to have some attention, and while it is in I am going to get them to sort the sump gasket and fuel leak too. In regards to the skirts, one side had been on since new so it was a stubborn sod to get off, the other came off easier as it appears it has been welded before. Once the welding is done, I am going to put the interior back together and present it for MOT.
I also have a replacement centre belt on order, I took the seat apart and a chunk of the mechanism fell out. I guess that is knackered then!

I may bin the wood dash. Not sure yet. I think once it is back on the road I will start doing little bits such as that.
