Defenders are a bit too utilitarian for the road and the drive is pure old school offroader so nothing like the modern generation 4x4s which are tuned mostly towards decent road holding.

Sure if you lived in the sticks on shit roads and regularly got snowed in etc then fine, but otherwise any of the modern softroaders will be more than adequate and drive on the road so much better for the 99% of the time youll use the car.
