You could also get the rebuilt engine, use just the bottom end and put your MFI head on.

MFI inlet can only be used with MFI, EFI inlet only with EFI unless you do some very elaborate modifications.


When you'd like to go full EFI, you'll have to change nearly everything. Engine, wiring loom, ECUs etc. Throttle cable is just a minor issue, might also fit the EFI throttle body. You can keep most of the attachment parts you still use like header tank, rad, intercooler, alternator etc. You can also keep the fuel setup, MFI fuel pump will work on any EFI system.
