You have two of the connections the wrong way round, but I don't think this is the issue.

The
Lowest point in the swirl pot feeds the 044
next one up supply/feed from main tank (facet pump)
next one up return from engine
highest point return back main tank


I think the facet is a little small to keep up with a 044 if you look at the specs the 044 can flow 80 gallons per hour and the facet only 35 GPH.


You might want to look at a twin facet set up or a holly pump red or black.

What size pipe work are you using on the low pressure side feed from tank, also assume you have a fuel pressure regulator in the return from the engine.
