Just wondering if anyone can help, I have a 1.8 silvertop Zetec from MK5 escort GTI and a Clarke engine stand that I would like to put it on.

Question is what's the best way to do this, if I were to use head bolts would I be screwing these into the threaded holes where the bell housing is attached or would I be better to go through unthreaded holes and bolting it to secure instead.

Any other recommendations are welcome need to get the parts ordered as i will be doing it this weekend!!
