Thanks for the reply CosworthGuy, the fast turn over was/is really worrying
update..
decided to check if i was getting a spark from plug1, so took it out and almost first crank the engine tried to start apposed to just turning over with all plugs in?
(the plug was sparking)
so put the spark plug back in and this time it statred pretty much straight away but was missing quite bad for the first 10 or so seconds then ran ok'ish
seems a bit wierd that it wanted to start almost straight away when i took plug 1 out
