The front bumper is unique to the S1. It has longer studs and a spacer washer to push the bumper out more because of the arch extensions. Due to this the spot-light brackets are longer than non-S1 versions. The bumper plastics are also unique to the car as they are white plastic and not sprayed white.
the anti roll bar assembly which is different to S2 and normal Escort. There are two big cast pieces in the corners and there is a square box section piece behind the front bar. There are also clamps on the back of the assembly towards the wheels
The aperture for the rear opening 1/4 windows is also original to the S1 over the base Mk3 models. The S1 has holes for the hinges and locking clasps. Other mk3 models did not have these and will have been drilled into the shell - again you will only tell if this is stripped down
Hi and thanks for taking the time to reply. The car is fitted with s1 anti roll bar and has rear opening quarter windows, no spots fitted but I have purchased a mint set of carello 640's and brackets but now you say am not sure if they are s1 brackets, they are 81ag-15270-aa. Will need to check unless any knows if they are correct. If I can remember the window breakers where just screwed into the frame (b post) not sure if that's correct. If not then is not the real deal

the front grill is all white with no black but not end of the world as prob had a slap or smudged lipstick at some point I would have thought

cheers
