Ford Focus 1.6ltr 1999

First of all,

AIR CON?

When I switch on my engine the air con light comes on automatically without me touching it, there is also a long winey sound every time I start the engine originating from behind the glove box which lasts between 5-7 seconds.

Brakes.

When I release the pedal there is a squeeky noise, can't really say that i've noticed a change in their performance though.

Speedo.

Every now and then my speedo will drop for a short while then it will work again.

Also sometimes there is a rough idle, seems to stutter between 650-850 RPM, also when accelerating I can feel a momentary loss of power seems to be when I change gears... feels as if something is strangling the power.

Any help would be much appreciated, I love this car, don't think I will move away from Fords now having previously drove a Fiat Punto. Just want to get these issues sorted so I can use it to it's best potential.
