tddi version is a better bet, believe they are same engine but old school fuelling and much more reliable, i think the tddi ran till about 03, and from what i've heard they are bullet proof, 40+ MPG and happy to do 120 on a private road, pulls a car trailer as if its not there even when getting close to max tow weight, i've known my one for many years and its never had a problem, although i think it will need a DMF before long as its on 140k
