Hey, I have pulled the 1.1 engine out of my Escort and am stuck in two minds. Plan 1. the cheaper of the two and ultimately easier especially as I have bought or aquired nearly all of the bits requried is 1.6 CVH with ZX6R bike carbs. I had the inlet manifold made to measure. Easy because "should" drop in reasonably easily with a few (ok a lot) of upgrades and mods. Plus when it comes to brakes and suspension I'm going RSTS2 as they will more than be up for it.

But I have been dragging my heels because what I really want to do is a full 2.0 Zetec from a Mondeo conversion. Not too crazily difficult although a lot more £££s plus you will be left with a much more powerful unit so brakes and suspension are a lot more important.

Here is a really good site I found where the guy dropped it in a Fiesta. Although he makes it seem way too easy.

Hope this helps get it on the way
