Isn't technology fun? I had to get new injectors for my Passat, and thanks to the new methods of making cars these needed to be coded to the car and have all sorts of other bullshit applied, making the whole thing expensive. So, what should have been 3 or 400 quids worth of work ended up at nearly 3 grand. For what, an extra 5mpg?
Cars are being made now that are so reliable that manufacturers need to find a way of getting people into the latest model, so they make everything so complicated and expensive people will trade their cars in for new ones so they have a warranty incase it needs a headlamp, or a washer jet.
My Passat was supposed to be a cheap runabout
