Just thought I would come in with an update. It's took some time to find the real fault.

First off the fault code being shown was that the engine was misfiring on Primary and Secondary. P0351, P0352 code where showing. So I replaced the coil pack, wires and spark plugs. Still chugged. Replace the VSS and the speedo still dropped out. Which according to the guy at the garage is "F**king weird", and I agreed. He played around for a bit and checked fuses and battery connections. He even replaced the control circuit that connects into the coil pack, and it seemed to settle down. That night while driving it did it again, and in line with natural laws refused to do it when I took it back to the garage. Fortunately the guy that runs the garages dad was around, he was retired but used to own the garage. He was interested and had a look, everyone loves a mystery. Anyway, he pretty much got it straight off. The headlights where causing a short. Popped them off and replaced them.. works perfectly. 3 wires was all it was. Cooked the damn battery having to restart though.

As a final up yours from the car though the handbrake went and it rolled into a wall.. I get the feeling this car is trying to kill me.
