I am making a custom header tank for my fiesta cosworth 4x4 but as my layout is different and I do not run any heater etc I want to change we're the coolant hoses run,

I am placing the header tank in the passenger wheel arch nicely out of the way and for the main feed to the water system to the tank I was going to connect into where the fan switch normally goes as fans will be Ecu controlled,

In the pic below is the original connection from the water pump that goes straight back to the header tank, could I just block this one off?


Can anybody tell me any issues with this?
To release air back to the header tank I will be adding a swirl pot with top outlet back to header tank as well
