Just at the turn of the year I noticed a very faint whistle on full load, but only between 2000 - 2250 revs, more noticeable when it's up to temperature. Presumably at this rev range this is when its sucking in the most air as the turbo is spooling up, I had the car remapped soon after and the noise became more noticeable.
No loss of power or any deterioration in drive no engine warning lights, just the noise almost sounds like a chatter as its doing it at 2250, its been in to Ford and they said not to worry about it as it's not making a significant enough noise to warrant further investigation.
They just said it must be due to the map, I wasn't impressed and told them it was there before and they just said 'wait for it to develop' so in other words total failure - nice one.
Anyway it clearly isn't right and I want to sort it, possibly to sell.
Any ideas, could this be an actuator problem, is this a bolt on jobby or turbo replacement complete?
I think its heading down that route so prob gonna have to get the spanners out, any thoughts much appreciated
