ive got to say ive done a shite job of saying what i actually mean, my bad. i was aware the duratec had to different bolt pattern to the zetec-e and all other preceding engines, the bolt pattern i was talking about was the clutch-flywheel.

seems pretty obvious as the ST box is an IB5 the focus rs clutch wont fit. for some reason i thought it might but its all clear now.

regards the fiesta ST box, im pretty sure i read somewhere it has 'stronger' internals, presumably better bearings, thicker shafts or something along those lines?
