As above, there are plenty of tuners who offer plug in flash maps to pick from. Revo have a 20% off offer at the minute (SCC are distributors for Revo software) but there are the likes of Bluefin, Dreamscience, Collins and others to pick from. In my humble opinion you don't NEED an RS clutch to have a remap done but it is certain that you will need a clutch change at some point due to all the extra torque especially if you like using it all. As above, I try and be progressive with how I get on the power and don't use all of it from low down in the rev range to prolong clutch life. My car runs about 290bhp and 320+ft.lbs of torque pretty much a "stage 2" car and on original clutch at 27k and touch wood, still going well.
An RS clutch is a great modification but I don't understand the mentality that some people seem to adopt after they fit one as if they will never need another clutch again and they can hoon it as much as they like without fear of it ever wearing. Even that will wear at some point and need replacing again so I would try and keep your clutch in as good shape as possible and fit an RS clutch when it is needed and not as a precautionary modification.
