Default Help!! 2004 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Gear Selector Problems

Good Morning

I have a manual 6 speed mondeo 2.0 TDCI estate which seems to be having problems getting into gear.

The clutch and DMF was replaced in August, and the car has done about 4k miles since.

For a while when the car was cold it was still a little stiff getting 1st gear, but other than that it was fine.

This morning my wife was driving to work and found that she could not select any gears a short distance from home.

Luckily she managed to get the thing back home - when I tried the gears with the engine off, there was no apparent noise or crunching etc - the clutch appears to have full range of movement and everything feels ok.

However when the engine is on it won't get into gear even when the clutch is pushed to the floor - when I took my foot off the clutch it felt like the revs dipped slightly.

I am obviously no expert here but it sounds like it could be a pedal problem rather than a clutch problem, but I would welcome the expert opinion before I call out the local ford dealer to look at it.
