Too many rich kids have now flooded the market and second officers are only on around 20k starting wage, that's even if you can get a place to do your type rating. SDSR screwed me out of that one.
All I wanted to do was fly in the RAF or Navy.
So when I couldn't do that I had to decide whether I wanted to fly more than I wanted to be in the military. And flying won out. And it was definitely the right call.
