Quiet easy to change actually.I no of people that have changed the valve and it was still the same lol but they then changed the heater control panel then it worked.Every car will be different but I would think it would be one or the other.Ive got the same problem but mine blows hot air but in this weather im leaving it well alone incase I disturb something and I make it cold!
Just thought you have the Ka and ive got the fiesta still shouldn't be a hard job
