hi, i hope somebody can help.
my 1999 1.8 petrol focus wont start. turn key on and get all dash lights but no no cranking or not even a buzz from the fuel pump. the LED by the clock flashes quick for a min,and i think a counted a flash of 5 once but not again.

im assuming the PCM is not reading the key properly and i fitted a new transponder but no luck. it will now and then start and i can switch off and back on many times in that day,but try next morning and it wont start.
only other thing is,if i leave it switched on for 10 min it will start. im assuming it losing memory and resets or something.

anybody got an idea thanks muchly
