So say that is an x ralley car, would it not of been registered? It cant be reshelled in a gti shell as it wont take the running gear.

So as above, if it is a genuine shell that was never registered and has since been up on the road it should be on a Q plate.

Sound to me either the owner didnt want it on a Q or its a ringer.
