When you start to overbore any of the pinto based motors nowadays you have no idea what condition the cylinder thickness is like all the way round.

I have a YB bored at 93mm and ran it for years, the next block I had bored that to 91mm and it didn't even get fitted as you could see the dark lines/fractures where the cast was thin.

Its just the luck of the draw with these now. I just line them straight off and I then know the quality and thickness is correct and uniform all over and I don't have to worry about the block.
