can defo be done diy, new valves and head?? try it first with the fine paste, you will get the idea, could take ten mins per valve to do properly ... you will as above see a thin fine line, in the right light when you lift the valve out, try it but it is a boring tedious job, though you may get a sense of satisfaction from it once finished..
