Default Another "What Tyres" Thread!

I've noticed I've had a bit less grip of late and put it down to greasy roads and the time of year but a quick inspection this morning revealed I'm not quite on racing slicks but it's time to do something!

The car is a company motor on a lease so cost isn't really an issue provided I don't take the piss - I just have to go to either Shit-fit or Hi-Q (Lex Autolease who do the car has accounts with both) so can have whatever they sell.

I'm happy to sacrifice outright performance for low road noise and the best possible economy - as a scummy salesman the car spends considerably more time on the motorway doing 70 on cruise control than doing any kind of spirited driving.

My mate suggested Continental Sport Contacts which seem to get good reviews but I've never had Continentals before. I need 235/40/18's if that makes any difference but I'm guessing most will do that size really.

Any to recommend or stay away from?
