Mixture of ups and downs today.

Received my new timing belt from Motorsport Developments and I had already received my head kit yesterday.

After some thought i decided against fitting the full head gasket kit for the moment as all I really need are the valve stem seals, and besides, every single rs turbo I have had has cooked the gasket eventually so I might aswell hang on to it until I actually need it.


As I started with the car sitting in my unit.


Crossover pipe removed


Rocker cover removed


Noticed that the valve springs have red markings on them. Does this signify anything?

Pretty annoyed as this was as far as I got. Went out to collect some injectors for my fiesta van and turns out they were wrong. Not to worry, I was also collecting my valve spring compressor, or so I thought. Thanks allparts for cocking up the order.

Means I can't do anything until monday now so most of the weekend wasted really
