Smile MSD Blackpool.

Hi everyone , I have just come back from a trip up to Blackpool to take my 2wd Sapphire Cosworth to MSD to get them to sort out some low speed rough running after having a lot of modifications done by Malcolm and Richard at Tremona Garage in Southampton. The modifications included a hydraulic clutch conversion ( best thing ever ) lightened flywheel, new 6 paddle clutch, new engine loom ( by bespoke looms, top quality ) new Bosch 044 fuel pump, A&S new hart style inlet plenum, Siemens 83lb injectors, new T38 turbo from CR turbos with billet commpresor wheel and new turbo damper, wasted spark ignition system and L8 ecu. The engine already had the 200 wire rung block, balanced bottom end, low comp pocketed pistons, group A spec cylinder head, Bd 10 & Bd 12 cams etc. The guys at Tremona Garage did a lot of hard work to get everything fitted properly as a lot of things were not just bolt straight on ! The new off the shelf MSD chip that I got was fine to get the engine up and running but was not as it should be. This is why even though it is a fair way to go the trip to MSD was needed. I have to say how impressed I was with the new rolling road they have now got and very impressed with the re-map they carried out. They extracted an extra 40BHP, eliminated the low down rough running and have transformed the car into a beast!! The acceleration and power is fantastic now and I am having to get used to handling the dry road power slides!! Their expertise is superb and I would say to anyone with a Cosworth it is well worth the trip to Blackpool if you want to get the best out of your engine. Richard from Southampton.
