Been meaning to do this for ages on my car, as it's a 4x4 but running a T4 on a 2WD manifold. Anyway, I have a long list of small jobs to do to the car which include making sure the downpipe fits properly

I remember reading a thread about this, I think it was actually Martin from Reyland that posted photos and IIRC said you had to either cut out or weld in 30cm of downpipe to get it to fit properly?

Can anyone confirm what is needed so I can take the car to get it done? I don't want to have to sit an argue with someone at an exhaust place, just show them pictures and be done with it.
