Yep i did the bonnet in the lounge
I will be using works facilities for this project so much more space and better facilities.
The sheets in the test panel were simple resin infused sheeting.

yeah sand it smooth and spray in lacquer
Most of the chassis will be moulded against something, so as long as the moulding surface is smooth and hi-gloss, then the finished panel will be the same.

This is probably going to cost me a couple of grand - but i buy off work at cost price not retail. I already have about 80 sqm of fabric already paid for.
Would probably cost you twice that in materials plus several hundred hours of labour which would be the killer cost!!
