thanks for your replys and the extra pics from another forum are interesting its just as i bought it it did have a 2.8i with a 4x4 box in it when i got it but that was not my fav choice of engines to run with...the engine choice was hard i did want to keep with the ford theme but i got a great deal from a good mate that had just broke one of his rwd astra rally car and i bought most of his bits and the xe was in the deal i have got i would say i have bought about 90% of all my parts now ive been busy stripping the underside and repainting ready for the build to start this weekend i hope to have the front end back together this weekend then next week my son is wiring the car while i build up the rear 5 link axle to fit then big plan is to have it ready for an inspection before christmas as they are shutting my local dvla centre where you can get car checked over ready for road use and get it road registered so then dead line is on
