the 2.7's have an horrendous reputation for lunching the big end bearings, the same engine is in the S type Jaguar, basicly the DPF shits itself filling the sump with diesel and taking the bearings out. 4.5 grand for an engine plus labour.. ouch.
the bearings are just starting to come to the market tho
