Whilst colour sanding and polishing may help you will probably find the main problem is the uncovered paint has got lighter over time and the paint under the logo gas stayed original or even yellowed a touch.

I would try colour sanding a bit the using a bit of elbow grease with the t-cut before forking out wedge.

If the experiment works however order up a DA, pads and cutting compound and become a polishing god

Also if you do go full on I would start with 1500-2000-3000 polish
