Like I said in your other thread the problem must lie with that cylinder.

As to the spark 'jumping' issue, that is strange, maybe related to the dizzy?

The distributor does not need a ground, it is anyway via being mounted (it would be a different story if breakered ignition) the rotor distributes the power to the leads, which are grounded via the head.

Have you tried another rotor?
