Sadly no. I've been here seven years and there is no way around the regulations. The reason is the tax evasion over here and the need to tax tangible assets e.g. car, boat, house, land etc. it needs a car document (like our V5) to tax and insure and even if I brought in every part bit by bit I'd still need to show them that the VIN nos is recorded here.

I brought my 1997 Porsche 993S here some years back and had all kinds of heartache, finally ending up selling it in Germany. What's more, the roads here aren't for a Porsche but are perfect for an uprated XR3i so I can relive my youth...
