The problem is, Apple's iOS is probably more "plugged" in to everything than any other platform. It's pretty much the number one mobile operating platform, and then when you add in the iCloud stuff, and integration with so much other stuff; from Apple products like computers and AppleTV, to other brands that do AirPlay, AirTunes, and iPod/iPhone specific connectivity, it is the clear choice.
The downside is that the new iOS 7 is fucking awful (and I'm a big Apple fan, but I think this new iOS is fucking terrible; not just looks but functionality too) and the fact the OS
is a locked down system (without jailbreaking, there's very little you can do outside of what Apple want you to do) that I understand why it is off-putting to some people. And I used to be one of those people (the locked down part). However, I got over it, and embraced it for what it is and what it lets me do with my other products/devices.
But iOS7 is still fucking gash
