I do it every day, its childsplay on a bench, but you need to make sure you get.as much swarf out of the engine as you can before start up. ideally grease the tap and blow it out with an airline. most soark plug taps have a pilot nose, so you jist screw it into the knackered old thread. make sure your piston isn't at tdc though, because you might hit it with the tap
