I feel the same as most of the above. No good for a daily driver and a good one is now sadly hard to come by.

I agree with Mark though, build one. I built my current cabriolet, to my spec and standards using a lot of S2 parts. There's no rot whatsoever, I know the car inside and out and it doesn't owe me half what the same quality genuine S2 would command.

There is just something about the characteristics and sound of them that will captivate you. It'll bite you in the ass if you're not careful but when you rescue it from the torque steer you'll have a smile on your face.

I've owned an Astra GSi Turbo mk4 and currently drive a 2012 Merc C250 AMG Coupe. Both 200bhp cars but neither of them put a smile on my face like my Cabby.
