Making your own decals is so simple. buy waterslide paper, 2 types inkjet or laser depending on your printer (they will not work if not correct type). I use a mixture of MS Paint, Adobe Illustrator and MS Word to do the artwork.

Sometimes it is simply a matter of finding the correct image from 'tinternet and resizing it and sometimes more difficult like the Mexico decals which are from scratch in Illustrator. You can resize images in MS Word in CM and without losing any of the resolution.

Once printed give them a protective layer of acrylic lacquer before applying them or the print will come off when you soak them !!! If you have painted the car, apply the decals before clear and just go over them as normal, which will seal them in.

If you are just applying them to a pre painted model, then apply them and either use "Humbrol decal fix" or similar or use some thinned down 1k lacquer and a soft brush to seal them.

Good luck.
Cool, thats clever stuff!! I was thinking of doing a replica of my Sky van, (yep, I am sad! Lol) but think trying to copy that may be a bit too much to expect?!?

lol, decal fix reminds me of my youth...
