Default sierra 2.0 dohc upgrade advice pls

after deciding to fit my standard 3dr shell with 2.0 dohc engine and running gear just to get some use out of it, i need advice on which brakes to upgrade with. i have 2 donor cars which can be used but both have drums on the rear. i would like to better the braking system on both front and rear so any advice would be appreciated. the engines are also 2 different types, an injection system in an estate and a carbed engine in a hatchback. any preference on which one and i know they are not the best choice of engines. which would be easiest to play with after regarding tuning etc. after discovering a small crease in the chassis i will not be putting any expensive parts on although it can be straightened easily (apparently). the plan is to use the wiring loom out of whichever car supplies the running gear. any advice appreciated and thanks.
