Take into consideration that if something simple goes like the vanos and a few other bits bmw will sting you something silly like 7k now that's 6 years worth of warranty payments covered. Bmw would want something mental like 35k for an engine so in the grand scheme of things I don't think a warranty is such a bad idea when you way it up
