vernier pulley and cam
when i got my s2 it had a vernier on it and i was told a cam fitted, there was no markings on it so that was balliks. i had retarded the timing to 8degrees and it was going very well. last night i fitted a power engineering xs428t cam. the loabs are way bigger than standard.
anyway i notice the pulley had been fully retarded for some reason. i marked the dizzy and put it back on where it came off. so it winds over to start, idles 6-700rpm when warm, slow pick up and pops loudly on gear changes so im safe to say its too far retarded now
do i advance the dizzy to take the revs up etc or do i zero the cam then set my dizzy timing?
my nearest rr centre is sitech and he is 150+miles from me so cant just nip along to get it set up properly
