You may have a boost control problem like a faulty actuator or "sticky" VNT vanes

Thus increasing boost pressure and the strees on the hose/s

The oil from the breather can "melt" rubber so you could fit a catchtank

The realative movement between the engine/ chassis can put some boost hoses under stress - if an engine/ gearbox mount is worn - it can incresse this movement

Finally, an "aftermarket" "performance" hose may last longer than an OEM(Ford) one, because it may be tougher/ stronger and silicone does not "melt" (gradually) in oil like rubber does
