The XR2's engine is a little noisy at the moment and it sounds like the tappets making the sound. Even after the car has been running for about 20 minutes they are still making somewhat of a racket. The tappets on my car are hydraulic, and cannot be adjusted (not that my dad and I know of anyway). I am taking to a garage next week to have the cambelt changed as it really needs changing, even though I doubt that's the source of the problem.
Does anybody have any suggestions on what we could try to either eliminate, or atleast calm down the noise?
