Default FS- Focus Rs mk1 #4501

Up for sale is my Focus RS build no- 4501. I have had the RS nearly a year but my original plans to turn the car into concours/ standard spec have changed and I want to get into track days/ motorsport and I feel it would be sacrilege to even contemplate taking this car on track! So I feel offering this car to an enthusiast who will look after it rather than myself having to eventually store the car is the best plan.
As the build number suggests it was the last focus RS to leave the production line and was driven back from the production line in Saarlouis by Chris Harris for Autocar magazine. There is a fair amount of information about the history of this car that can be obtained by doing a quick search on google. (the original magazine article will be included).

*Build no- 4501
*Mileage- 61500
*MOT due- March 2014
*Tax due- end of September 2013

The car has been tastefully modified with the following parts-
*Full stainless exhaust system including equal length tubular manifold.
*Bluefin plug and play device.
*K&N 'stage 2' air filter.
*Samco Boost hoses.
*25mm H&R lowering springs.
*Grooved discs and EBC Red stuff pads. (Passed the MOT a few months ago fine but were the next things on my list to change as I think they lack some feel).
*Front splitter.
*Team HEKO wind deflectors.
*Flocked centre part of the dash.

The car comes with the all important RS mats and RS wallet.

The car has had a new water-pump Less than 1000miles ago as the previous one has started to drip coolant. It also received a new Cambelt/ tensioner/ pully and obviously fresh antifreeze/ coolant. This was done by a local Performance car specialist. All OEM parts have been used. Including a genuine water-pump and not the much cheaper Zetec ones that some people use. It had a new coil pack at the same time as the original one had started to misfire.

It has had a full service less than 2000miles ago including NGK plugs, Ford oil filter and Fuchs Titan oil.

The bodywork is in good condition and has zero rust. The car has recently been in to a bodyshop to remove some stone chips that had appeared on the bumper and side skirts. The bonnet however has some small chips on it.
It has just had a quick machine polish (to get rid of a few swirls) and waxed using dodo juice supernatural so the paint looks as it should.

Please Message me on here to arrange a viewing or to get any more information on the car. (due to working hours messaging would be the best way to contact me and we can work from there..)

I am in no rush to sell the car so I wont accept unreasonable offers; I have spent a lot of time and money on this car recently so I am more than happy to wait for the right person/ offer.

The car is located just North of Preston.

Price is now £9750

I understand that this is towards the top end of Focus price range but this is a one off Focus and I feel a good investment for the future...

Thank you for taking the time to view this advert, Mark.

(part exchanges would be considered, I was ideally looking for an mk1/mk2 escort)
