Hi I had same problem on my last Mondeo just and idea try changing the fuel pump under the rear drivers door. Mine felt as it was running but inside it is a little filter which becomes clogged hence fueling problem. So I dont know why ford did it and put the fuel filter in the engine compartment after another filter so its worth trying there 55is quid brand new off bay end easy to fit. It would explain the problem you are having and could lead to what other people may say thats causing the problem. Hope it helps u. Ps I disected my fuel pump to find that out after replacing that pump my car worked a treat
