I have just finished the rebuilt of my BC gearbox of my RST S2 and now it´s time to fit a new clutch kit, but I had found a problem trying to fit a AP CP2000-15 clutch kit.
The kit was buy on Burton 3 years ago (with the advice of a Burton sales advisor, he told me that it was a good clutch kit for non pedal conversion needed) but I did not have the time and money to rebuilt the gearbox and fit the new clutch kit until now a days.
First problem I saw is that the release bearing is different as the old one and I can´t fit on the input shaft with the release arm because the center hole is smaller than the older one.
The AP reference of release bearing is HD 2034 in the box and BRC 615885 engraved on release bearing.
Here put some pic of release bearing:
Here put a pic of my BC gearbox input shaft and sleeve:
The clutch plate and clutch cover fit ok on the flywheel but I think that the center hole of pressure clutch cover is smaller in size that the old one and will no let the input shaft & sleeve pass through without damage itself and input shaft....
Here some pics of clutch plate and clutch cover:
CLUTCH PLATE: Engraved part no. AP5351-16
CLUTCH COVER: Engraved code no. LC 03KD 001A - 4LCKF18002A U470104
As least the clutch plate is suitable for Rs turbo S2 as stated on Burton web store....
Any one know for what car are suitable the clutch cover and release bearing or maybe i´m doing something wrong fitting the kit???
Many thanks in advance for any help about what to do...
